Even though the Government have now lifted restrictions, we have taken the decision to continue animal viewing by appointment only, for potential adopters who have applied online via our website and matched with an animal.
This will protect our staff and volunteers who are not fully vaccinated yet and give us chance to monitor the situation over the next few months.
As many people are testing positive, or come into contact with someone who has tested positive and then having to isolate, we need to ensure we have enough staff and volunteers on site to care for the animals to our usual high standard as a priority. Therefore it may take us longer to respond to enquiries so please bear with us.
If you are looking to adopt a dog or cat then please have a look on our dogalogue or catalogue to see if there are any particular animals you would like to be considered for adoption. If there is an animal you are interested in, or you are open to suggestions if you can’t decide on a particular one, then please complete a cat or dog adoption application form. Our experienced rehoming team will look at the animals we have available for adoption and give you a call for further discussion, if we have a potential match for you.
Our reception and pet shop will remain closed to visitors coming into the building, but we will continue with telephone orders and collections. You can also bring donations to us and put them in a trolley outside our reception door.
If you are unable to bring donations of dog and cat food (not bedding) to us we have collection bins in the following stores:
- Tesco Lee Mill
- Tesco Roborough
- Tesco Transit Way
- Sainsbury’s Marsh Mills
- Morrisons, Billacombe Road
- Dunelm, Exeter Street
- Pets@Home, Exeter Street
- Co-op, Plymouth Road
As we are a charity that survive on support from the community, monetary donations can be sent by post, made over the phone on 01752 331602 or via this website DONATE NOW.
We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone and we really appreciate the support we are given. We cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity and we would certainly not be able to do what we do without such fantastic support.
Shop Opening Times
We are able to take orders by telephone between 9.30am and 3.30pm and then items can be collected from Gables. You can also come to the reception door to ring the bell during these times and tell us what you would like to purchase so we can bring it to the door for you.
