Hello there. My name is Rabanne. I came to Gables a few weeks ago after being rescued from a property where my needs weren’t being met, alongside a number of other dogs. Although I have lived a sheltered life this hasn’t stopped me from making lots of new friends, both canine and human. I can be a little shy when I meet a new human for the first time but after a few minutes I am showing off and wanting to be your best friend. Because I am so young I have a very playful side and I adores toys, especially stuffed ones or those thin latex balls.
I have lots to learn about the world but I know with the right person to guide me on my journey into a better life I will do just fine. In order to be a match for me you will need to have owned dogs before, preferably nervous or under socialised dogs as this will help you understand me better. It’s vital you have a secure garden or yard for me to go out into as I won’t be able to play off lead in public for a while. I will need basic training but as far as that is concerned you can treat me as a blank canvas. This means you can choose the words I learn and what hand signals you want to use to accompany them.
I really enjoy going for a walk and I am very good on my harness. I am always excited to meet other dogs which makes taking me out and about a relaxing and stress free time. I might be overwhelmed if you take me anywhere too busy so I would prefer to stick to the quiet countryside rather than cafes and busy parks, at least for now.
I am such a lovely boy and I have lots of love to give so please fill out an adoption form if you think you can give me the home I deserve.
