Thank you so much for taking the time to find out more about me. I’m Paco and I came to Gables from a multi dog household with a number of other dogs. Sadly where we lived wasn’t appropriate and our needs weren’t being met and as a result of this I have lived a very sheltered life until now. Since being at Gables I have realised how much I adore the company of humans. I find comfort in having cuddles and I adore snuggling up on a comfy lap.
I know there will be lots that I don’t know about the world outside but I will take it all in my stride as long as I have you for support. Since I’ve been here I have been out for some really lovely walks, I particularly enjoy walking under the trees at Saltram. I walk nicely when I am wearing my harness and I am happy in the company of other dogs too which makes taking me out and about a relaxing and stress free time. I am likely to be overwhelmed if you take me anywhere too busy so I would prefer to stick to the quiet countryside rather than cafes and busy parks, at least for now.
I have lots to learn about the world but I know with the right person to guide me on my journey into a better life I will do just fine. I am looking for someone who has owned dogs before, preferably nervous or under socialised dogs as this will help you understand me better. It’s vital you have a secure garden or yard for me to go out into as I won’t be able to play off lead in public for a while. I will need basic training but as far as that is concerned you can treat me as a blank canvas. This means you can choose the words I learn and what hand signals you want to use to accompany them.
