Yes - I am suitable to live with a family with older children (13+).

I am a very fun loving guy and, a bit like the Duracell bunny, I just keep going! I love being in the company of people but I also don’t mind spending some time on my own if you need to pop out. I adore playing with toys, my favourite toy here is a silicone space hopper which I just loooooove. Tug is a great game too so if you actually want me to let go of a toy you’ll need to give me a snack in return.

I enjoy going for walks but my over excitement at everything means that I do pull on the lead. I will need your help once I have settled in with you to help me feel more comfortable around other dogs as at the moment I jump at them and try to grab at them. Most dogs find this upsetting and don’t want to spend time with me. I’m hoping that with gentle exposure to other dogs alongside positive reinforcement I will learn how to be calmer and kinder when I meet them on walks.

I already know how to sit and give my paw but I’m very willing to learn as much as you want to teach me. I’m food motivated which makes training fun and rewarding.

My new owners will need to have owned a dog with resource guarding issues in the past and have experience with socialising too. It would be particularly helpful for me to be taught some relaxation techniques as at the moment I am always on the go.
