Hi there. My name is Spud. I arrived at Gables along with a large number of other dogs having been found living outside without access to food, water and Shelter. I was already a few months old when I was found which means I had missed out on vital socialisation leaving me very nervous around new people. I find being inside a human home quite stressful as everything there is new to me. I am looking to meet someone who has a very quiet life who can introduce me to living in a home environment slowly so I don’t get too over whelmed. Due to my nervous nature potential adopters must have experience with nervous and under socialised active breeds in the past and be able to dedicate the time to my care and training.
I adore the company of other dogs and having a dog friend in my new home could really help me to come out of my shell. My new pal must enjoy lots of rough play and be confident in nature. I’m not keen on dogs with flat faces as I don’t understand them so unfortunately I can’t live with any brachycephalic breeds.
Another love of my life is toys! I’ll play with all kinds and I love tuggy games. As an active breed I will need 2+ hours of exercise daily but this must be balanced with relaxation time and mental enrichment to keep me from becoming over stimulated in the home.
If you think you can offer me the home I need then please don’t hesitate to fill out an application form by clicking the link below.
