We offer a variety of work experience placements to anyone over 18 who is looking for a change in career or wanting to gain experience to help them with their career development.
Some of our current employees joined Gables on a work experience placement, or as a volunteer, and progressed to become a valuable permanent paid member of staff. Some of our work experience students have also gone on to gain employment elsewhere in the animal welfare sector across the country.
We offer placements to individuals who are are looking for longer term placements for a minimum of 3 months due to the amount of training, time and supervision we invest in each person. Our placements are available 7 days per week.
- Please note that Gables is not on any bus route, therefore your own transport is essential.
- All applicants must be over 18 years old.
Complete and submit an application form. All applications are considered and the most suitable candidates are selected to move to stage 2.
Applicants that are selected will need to complete a trial day so we can assess their suitability for the position.
Once a trial day is completed successfully we will offer positions to those candidates, depending on placement spaces available.
The charity reserves the right to refuse a work placement to students and the right to limit the number and length of work placements offered, in order to ensure quality work placements and to ensure that the work of the charity isn’t compromised.
